In the embrace of Mummy’s love, I found a sanctuary. Like a beacon of light in the darkest night, her selflessness and generosity illuminated the lives of many, including mine. As the Scripture tells us, “Let all that you do be done in love” (1 Corinthians 16:14), and truly, Mummy embodied this divine command in every aspect of her life.
From the moment Angela brought me home from University, Mummy welcomed me with open arms and an open heart. She made me feel as though I was her own flesh and blood, reflecting the words of Romans 15:7, “Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.” Through her boundless love and kindness, she exemplified this acceptance and grace.
Mummy was not only a mother to me but also a role model, a counselor, and a confidant. Her wisdom and guidance echoed the sentiment of Proverbs 31:26: “She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue.” Her consistent check-ins and unwavering support were a testament to her deep and abiding care.
In the book of Psalm 18:2, we read, “The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer.” To us, Mummy was indeed our rock—a steadfast source of strength and comfort. Her life was a living testament to the power of unconditional love and sacrificial care. As we reflect on her legacy, we are reminded of the profound impact she had on each of us, a reflection of God’s love and grace.
Though she has departed from this earthly realm, her spirit will forever remain enshrined in our hearts. We take solace in the promise of 1 Thessalonians 4:14: “For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.”
Rest well, Mummy. Your love, your wisdom, and your unwavering faith have left an indelible mark on our lives. You will forever be cherished and remembered with the deepest affection. Thank you for being our rock and guiding light.
In eternal gratitude and love,
